Amit Rajput Hospitalized: Suicide Attempt or Food Poisoning? BJP Corporator’s Brother Comments on Recovery

In Surat, rumors of a corporator attempting suicide have caused a stir. BJP corporator and former ruling party leader Amit Rajput has been admitted to Unique Care Hospital. To understand why Rajput was admitted, MLA Sangeeta Patil and Deputy Mayor Narendra Patil visited the hospital. However, Deputy Mayor Narendra Patil claimed that Amit Rajput was resting. The president of Surat city, along with other corporators, also visited the hospital to inquire about his health.

Brother Claims It Was Food Poisoning

Meanwhile, Amit Rajput’s elder brother, Amarsinh Rajput, stated that during Sharad Purnima, they consumed milk and flattened rice, which they had left on the terrace. Amit was about to leave at around 11:30 AM, but after eating the meal, he vomited. They rushed him to the hospital, and doctors confirmed it was food poisoning. His condition worsened on the way to the hospital, but after treatment, including stomach cleansing, the doctors reassured them that he would be fine. The doctor mentioned that with a simple injection, Amit could be discharged soon.

Police Took the Doctor’s Statement

Amarsinh Rajput further mentioned that Katargam police were informed about the food poisoning. The police took a statement from the doctor, who confirmed it was food poisoning. Amit Rajput was admitted to a special ward for further observation.
