BYD eMax 7 Launched in India, Starting Price ₹26.90 Lakh: Electric MPV to Offer 530 km Range on Full Charge, Competing with Innova Hycross

BYD India has launched the new electric MPV eMax in the Indian market. This is the facelift version of the BYD E6 electric MPV, introduced with a new name, updated design, new features, and an improved range. BYD claims that this car offers a range of 530 kilometers on a full charge.

The electric MPV is available in two variants: Premium and Superior. The starting price for the 6-seater Premium variant is ₹26.90 lakh, while the 7-seater Superior variant is priced at ₹29.90 lakh. These prices are introductory and are ex-showroom across India. The eMax 7 is ₹2.25 lakh cheaper than the BYD E6.

8-Year or 1.6 Lakh Kilometer Battery Warranty

The electric MPV comes with an 8-year/1.6 lakh kilometer battery warranty and an 8-year/1.5 lakh kilometer motor warranty. There are currently no electric cars directly competing with the BYD eMax 7 in the sub-segment priced around ₹30 lakh in India.

However, it can be considered as an electric alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross and the Toyota Innova Crysta.
