Assam CM in Haryana: We Need Doctors, Engineers, Not Mullahs; 600 Madrasas Shut, More to Close

“The Congress has raised small and big ‘Babar’ in every corner of the country. Just as Babar’s rule ended in Ayodhya and Ram Rajya began, we have to do the same everywhere. There are still small Babars roaming in the country; we will pick them up one by one and throw them out of the country.”

Rahul Gandhi questioned me about closing madrassas:

“Rahul Gandhi came to Assam and asked me why I shut down 600 madrassas, and what my future plans are? I told Rahul Gandhi that I have shut down 600 so far, and going forward, I will close all of them. This is our intention, and there is no other motive. We don’t need madrassa education in our country; we need doctors and engineers, not mullahs.”

Italy will see a Congress government:

While campaigning in Sonipat for BJP candidate Nikhil Madan, Assam’s CM made this statement. Sarma also spoke to the media here. On Bhupinder Hooda’s claim about Congress forming the government in Haryana, the Assam CM responded, “Mr. Hooda’s speech is somewhat wrong. Congress is indeed coming to power, but not in India, in Italy.”

On Rahul Gandhi’s allegations about attacks on farmers and sarpanches:

Sarma said, “What has Rahul Gandhi done, tell me? From the killings of Sikhs in Punjab to massacres in Assam, what has Congress not done? Congress is drenched in the blood of Indians; this is their legacy.” Besides Sonipat, Assam’s CM also held a rally in Jind’s Julana constituency for the BJP candidate on Sunday.

Congress guarantees are like punctured tires:

Commenting on Congress’s guarantees, Assam’s CM said, “Do you remember the guarantee of ₹8,500? Did that guarantee serve any purpose? They gave guarantees in Himachal, but did they fulfill even one? Congress’s guarantees are like punctured tires.”

He further said, “Congress made promises in Karnataka and Himachal. Did they keep any of those promises? They make such promises because they have no intention of fulfilling them once in power. Their only aim is nepotism—’if I’m the father, my son must succeed me; if I’m the mother, my son must be in power.'”

Give Kejriwal some rest:

Sarma said, “Why don’t you talk about the Constitution now? Why don’t you discuss reservations anymore? Why aren’t you talking about ₹8,500 now? Have you forgotten in three months? They have nothing left. The BJP government will come. The mother and son are packed in Delhi, and the father and son will be packed in Haryana.”

Assam’s CM completely dismissed the challenge posed by the Aam Aadmi Party in the elections. He said, “Kejriwal has just returned from Tihar; let him rest for a while.”
