This time, a special garland made of 1 kg of silver and gold, measuring six feet long, has been added to his jewelry collection.

Tight Security Arrangements

A total of 250 volunteers will manage the security and smooth operation of the pandal, with 100 volunteers present round the clock. The real value of the jeweled and diamond-studded silver idols cannot be determined, as most valuable items have been donated. However, the estimated value of the jewelry and precious items exceeds ₹30 lakhs.

1.5 Lakh American Diamonds

Since 1972, the oldest and wealthiest Ganeshji of Mahidharpura Dalya Sheri has mesmerized devotees with his grand procession in Surat. The Ganeshji of Dalya Sheri inspires deep devotion not only among the people of Gujarat but also among devotees from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan who come to Surat for his darshan. The ornaments adorning Shri Ganeshji include 1.5 lakh American diamonds, embellishing his hands, feet, ears, and waistband.

The special attractions include a statue with 1,50,000 leaf-shaped diamonds and a 7 kg silver musak, along with two silver statues measuring 2 feet and 4 feet.

Organizer Gaurav Jariwala stated that Ganeshji’s jewelry contains 1.5 lakh American diamonds, and another idol of Ganeshji made from silver leaves is embedded with 1 lakh diamonds. CCTV cameras have been installed for security, and two police vehicles are deployed. Ganeshji’s musak is made of silver and weighs 7 kg. A mobile application has been developed so that devotees can have darshan of Shri Ganeshji 24 hours a day, with the app operational around the clock.

Ganeshji Established in Diamond Trading Hub Mahidharpura

Surat is known as the Diamond City, and Ganeshji is established in the heart of Mahidharpura, a traditional diamond trading hub. Each year, the pandal receives approximately 5 lakh visitors, and this year, over 6 lakh visitors are expected. “Surat’s King,” the public Ganesh festival in Mahidharpura, has been celebrated with grand lighting and palace-like decorations for 52 years. Ganeshji’s installation is performed with full religious rituals, and the festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm by the local community.
