Former Indian cricket legend and current coach Rahul Dravid’s dream has come true as his son, Samit Dravid, has been selected for the India U-19 team. In September, the Indian U-19 team is set to face Australia U-19 in a home series, consisting of 3 ODIs and 2 four-day matches. The junior selection committee has announced the Indian squad for both formats, and Samit Dravid’s name features in both teams.
Samit Dravid Makes His Mark in India U-19 Squad
The Australia U-19 team is touring India for a 3-match ODI series and 2 four-day games. The first ODI is scheduled for September 21. All three ODIs will be played in Puducherry, while both four-day matches will take place in Chennai. The junior selection committee has now revealed the Indian U-19 team. Gujarat’s Three Talented Players Also Selected
Three players from Gujarat have been selected across both formats. Rudra Patel from the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has been named vice-captain for the ODI series. Harvansh Singh Pangalia from Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) is included in both the ODI and four-day squads, while Nity Pandya from Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) has been picked for the four-day format.
