“O Stree Kal Aana”: Rajkummar, Shraddha, and Pankaj Tripathi Trio Delivers Laughs, Cameo Surprises
The film ‘Stree-2,’ starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi, has been released. This horror-comedy film has a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes. Divya Bhaskar has given the film a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.
What is the film’s story?
The story begins in the same Chanderi village where the first part ended. This time, one by one, girls from the village go missing. A ghost with a severed head kidnaps the village girls one by one.
This time, the woman (Shraddha Kapoor) takes on the responsibility of saving them, and for this, she makes Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) her partner. Vicky is helped by his friends Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana), Jana (Abhishek Banerjee), and Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi). The story revolves around whether the four friends can defeat the ‘Sirkatta’ ghost until the end.
How is the star cast’s acting?
The trio of Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi has entertained the audience immensely with their performances. Especially, Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi’s comic timing is outstanding. Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee also made the audience laugh a lot.
There is a surprise cameo by Akshay Kumar in the film, which will leave you astonished. Seeing him suddenly on screen was an amazing experience. Varun Dhawan is also seen playing the role of ‘Varun’ and fighting Sirkatta in some scenes. Tamannaah Bhatia also has a small but impactful role.
How is the direction?
Director Amar Kaushik has made every effort to make the film entertaining. There is a strong dose of comedy and horror from start to finish. The dialogues are also very funny. The visual and sound effects are exceptional. The first half is so spectacular that the second half feels average. The climax feels a bit weak compared to how the story progresses from start to finish.
Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films have started their horror universe, a glimpse of which can be seen in this film. There are references to Maddock’s previous films ‘Munja’ and ‘Bhediya,’ and later, Akshay Kumar will also join this universe.
How is the music?
The music is also one of the film’s strongest aspects. The songs have already become chartbusters, but they sound even better in the theater. The film’s music is good, but the BGM (background music) could have been a bit better.
Final Verdict: Watch or Not?
Aside from a few flaws, the film is overall well-made. The comedy, humor, music, and horror scenes are all in the right place. This film can be a good treat for a long holiday weekend. You can comfortably watch it with your family. In my opinion, this film is definitely worth watching once.
