Another Teacher from Banaskantha Flees Abroad Without NOC; Crackdown on Absentee Educators Expected

In Banaskantha’s Danta Panchha Primary School, a shocking revelation has come to light: a female teacher has been receiving a salary despite having been settled in the United States for the past eight years. This case has triggered a wave of similar disclosures, exposing other deceitful educators in the district.

Reports suggest that there is widespread malpractice within the Banaskantha District Education Department. In one such instance, a teacher from the Suthar Nesdi P.E. Center School in Bhiloda has been living abroad for the past 10 months without the required NOC (No Objection Certificate) but continues to receive a reduced salary.

On the other hand, the District Education Officer claims that 33 guilty teachers have been dismissed for various reasons over the last four years.

Teacher Abroad Without Authorization: Bhiloda School Principal Seeks Replacement

According to the information received, Vipulbhai Patel, a mathematics and science teacher at Suthar Nesdi P.E. Center School in Bhiloda, has been serving in this position for the past seven years.

However, on June 1, 2023, he reportedly left for the United States without obtaining the necessary NOC (No Objection Certificate) and has since been on a reduced salary leave.

In response to this, the school principal, Vashrambhai Makwana, promptly notified the Bhiloda Taluka Education Officer in writing within a month and requested the appointment of another teacher. Currently, a temporary teacher has been hired to fill the vacancy left by Vipulbhai Patel to ensure the students’ education continues.

Teacher’s Response to School and Unanswered Notices

Meanwhile, teacher Vipulbhai Patel informed the school via phone that he is abroad at two different locations and will not be able to return. In response, the Bhiloda Taluka Education Officer had sent two notices to Vipulbhai Patel’s home two months ago, but there has been no response to these notices.

In Danta Taluka’s Panchha Primary School, it has come to light that a teacher residing in the United States is still listed in the school register. This revelation has prompted a swift response from the education department.

Following this, it was discovered that several other teachers in the district’s schools have also been continuously absent. According to the District Education Officer, actions have been taken against absentee teachers over the past four years, with 33 guilty teachers being dismissed and legal proceedings initiated against them.
