27-Year-Old Dies After Collapsing Following Overtime Work at Private Company in Vadodara

In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old man working at a private company in Nandesari GIDC, Vadodara, collapsed and died suddenly after reaching home. The police have registered an accidental death case and have moved the body to Sayaji Hospital for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Overtime Work Before Death

According to the complaint filed by 51-year-old Kalubhai Badarbhai Vasava, his son Rahul Vasava was employed at Sujag Fine Chemicals Company in Nandesari GIDC. On the night of August 8, Rahul worked overtime and continued working for 24 hours before reaching home around 8 PM on August 9.

Collapse Upon Returning Home

After arriving home, Rahul went to the bathroom to wash his hands and feet. As he came out, he suddenly collapsed. He was immediately taken to Dipak Foundation Hospital in Nandesari by a private vehicle. From there, he was transferred to Shreeji Hospital for further treatment, where he was declared dead at 9:30 PM.

Initial Findings Point to Exhaustion

Rahul was reportedly fasting for the Shravan month and had worked continuously for 24 hours at the chemical company. The initial conclusion suggests that his collapse and death may have been due to exhaustion from overtime work and possibly fasting. However, the body has been sent for a postmortem to ascertain the exact cause of death. The Nandesari police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
