Indian Wrestler Antim Panghal Ordered to Leave Paris for Olympic Village Incident
Haryana wrestler Antim Panghal and her sister have found themselves entangled in controversies at the Paris Olympics. Both were taken to a police station where their statements were recorded. Following this, they were ordered to leave Paris immediately.
Exit from Olympics and Hotel Incident
In fact, after losing her first match in the women’s 53 kg final, Antim was eliminated from the Paris Olympics and went to her hotel. Her coach, Vikas, and Bhagat Singh were also staying there.
ID Card and Sports Village Incident
Antim gave her ID card to her sister and asked her to go to the Sports Village to fetch her belongings. Her sister managed to enter the Sports Village but was detained by security personnel when she was leaving.
Police Statements
The police also summoned Antim for a statement. She was taken to the local police station for her statement. The 19-year-old junior world champion Antim was also called by the police to give her statement. Additionally, Antim’s personal sports staff, Vikas and Bhagat, were reportedly traveling in a cab under the influence and refused to pay the fare, leading the driver to call the police.

On Wednesday, Antim Panghal was eliminated from the Paris Olympics after losing 10-0 to Turkey’s Yetgil Zeynep. Her hopes of staying in the bronze medal race through repechage were dashed. Zeynep’s hopes ended when she lost to Germany’s Annika Wendel in the quarter-finals.
