Bajaj Chetak 3201 Special Edition Launched: 136 km Range on Full Charge, Competes with Ola S1 Pro & Ather Rizta Z
Bajaj Auto has launched a special edition of its popular electric scooter, the Chetak 3201, in the Indian market. The company claims that the electric scooter can travel up to 136 km on a full charge. The introductory price is set at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including the EMPS-2024 scheme).
This initial price will later increase to ₹1.40 lakh. The scooter can also be purchased through the e-commerce platform Amazon. The special edition scooter is based on the top-spec premium variant, and the company has also updated its appearance, with the scooter available only in Brooklyn Black color.
Steel Body with LED Lighting Setup
The company has not made any changes to the design of the electric scooter. As before, it features a steel body, and its design and features are similar to those of the premium variant. The special edition of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter includes ‘Chetak’ decals on the side panels, scuff plates, and dual-tone seat.
Additionally, it comes with body-colored rear view mirrors, satin black grab rails, matching pillion footrests with headlamp casing, and a charcoal black finish. The electric scooter features disc brakes, alloy wheels, LED lighting, telescopic front suspension, metal body panels, and IP67 waterproofing for the battery. Both sides are equipped with drum brakes for stopping power.
Features: Hill-Hold Control and Follow Me Home Light Available
In terms of features, the EV includes turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call alerts, customizable themes, Follow Me Home light, and Bluetooth app connectivity with a colorful TFT display.
Additionally, as part of the tech pack software package, the scooter comes with hill-hold control and an extra ‘Sport’ ride mode. In India, the Chetak competes with electric scooters such as the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, and TVS i-Cube.
Full Charge Range of 136 km and Top Speed of 73 km/h
The Chetak 3201 Special Edition is equipped with a 3.2 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 136 kilometers on a full charge. It takes approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes to charge. This range is an improvement over the 127 km range of the current premium model. The top speed of this electric scooter is 73 km/h.
