Asit Modi Relieved as Gurucharan Singh Returns Home: ‘TMKOC’ Producer Expresses Relief
Popular actor Gurucharan Singh, known for his role in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” returned home on Friday (May 17) after a three-week absence. The show’s producer, Asit Kumar Modi, expressed relief upon Singh’s return. Modi stated that he was quite worried when there was no news about Gurucharan’s whereabouts.
Modi revealed that Gurucharan took a sigh of relief upon hearing about his return. Gurucharan Singh had left his Delhi residence on April 22 to travel to Mumbai but had not reached the airport nor returned home. Following this, Delhi police initiated an investigation, registering a case of abduction.
Asit Tried Calling Gurucharan
Asit Kumar Modi told Times Now, “I am very happy that Gurucharan has returned. We were very worried about him. I did not have much information about him.
Now he can say what has been going on in his mind. I was also trying to call him, but his phone was not working.”
Asit Expected Gurucharan’s Return
Asit stated further, “I knew Gurucharan would return. I also knew that he might have gone on some spiritual journey. He has always been a very spiritual person.
The biggest thing is that nothing has happened to him. He has returned safely, which is a huge relief.”.
Gurucharan Singh’s Dispute with Asit Modi
Gurucharan Singh had been part of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” since its inception in 2013. However, due to various disputes with producer Asit Modi, he quit the show. Despite its immense popularity, Singh left due to disagreements with the producers.
However, after much demand from the audience, he had to be brought back to the show. Following his return, he continued for six years. Subsequently, during the lockdown in 2020, he left the show again to take care of his father. Since distancing himself from acting, Gurucharan has been residing with his parents in Delhi.
