CID Offices Raided for Forgery: Australian Authorities Investigate Fake Documents Obtained with Genuine Degrees

Two students who went to Australia on a student visa had provided original documents, including grade 10 and 12 mark sheets and degree certificates, to the visa consultant. However, during the investigation by the CID Crime, it was found that both students had gone to Australia on the basis of fake documents, resulting in a crackdown on the visa consultant for further scrutiny of both genuine and fake documents.

Upon receiving complaints, the CID Crime simultaneously raided the offices of 18 visa consultants in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Vadodara. Among them, there was a raid at the office of Neptune Education Consultants for Global Aspirants in Ambawadi, where documents and files related to the visas of 3571 students were found.

The documents were sent to FSL, Gujarat Board, and various universities for verification, where it was found that the documents of students named Sachinkumar Chaudhary and Mihir Rami were fake. Both had been employed by Vishal Patel, the owner of Umia Overseas, who had been reported to the CID Crime by their parents.

Both students had provided Vishal Patel with genuine documents. Sachin had provided his Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a diploma certificate from Udaipur University, an sanction letter for an SBI loan, an affidavit regarding sponsorship from D. Gandhi, and a valuation report of a house. Similarly, Mihir had provided his Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a degree from Saurashtra University, a sanction letter for a loan, an affidavit regarding sponsorship from D. Gandhi. However, upon investigation, it was found that both sets of documents were fake. It was revealed that both students had only provided genuine documents to Vishal.

For visa-related work, Umiya Overseas had paid Vishal three lakh each. During interrogation of Mihir and Sachin’s fathers, it was found out that they had approached Vishal Patel for sending both students to Australia based on student visas. Vishal had taken three lakh rupees from both parties. Later, he used fake documents to arrange for their visas. The families of both students were unaware of this.
