Jawa 350 Classic Unveils New Blue Color & Updated 334cc Engine: Ready to Rival Royal Enfield 350 Classic
Jawa Motorcycles, known for crafting iconic two-wheelers, has unveiled a new color variant of the Jawa 350 in the Indian market during the Mahindra Blues Festival. The updated version of the Jawa Standard model is now available in three color options: black, mystic orange, and maroon. This bike will be launched with new colors in a short period.
The new Jawa 350 Classic features a powerful 334cc engine, replacing the 294cc engine found in the Jawa Standard model. The company had previously announced the introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.15 lakhs for the Jawa 350 in January 2024. Jawa also offers a 5-year warranty with its bikes. However, there has been an increase in its price, now standing at Rs. 12,000 more than the previous price.
New Jawa 350 Classic: Design and Features
When it comes to discussing the unveiling of the new Jawa 350, it is evident that it has been developed on a new double cradle frame, boasting a distinct retro design. It stands out from the current standard model, featuring a 13.5-liter muscular fuel tank, a flat seat, round headlight, 8-inch wheels, and all-LED lighting.
The seat height is set at 790mm, while the new Jawa 350 offers a ground clearance of 178mm. The bike weighs 192 kilograms. Additionally, it comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity along with a semi-digital instrument cluster.
New Jawa 350 Classic: Performance
The latest iteration of the Jawa 350 features a 334cc single-cylinder engine, capable of generating a maximum power of 22bhp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 5,000rpm. This engine finds its application not only in the Jawa 350 but also across the company’s lineup. With the introduction of the new engine, the peak torque of the Jawa 350 has increased by 1Nm compared to the previous 293cc engine, while the power output has increased by 4.8bhp.
Speaking of the transmission, the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike now comes equipped with a slipper clutch and an assist clutch for the first time. The company claims that this bike can achieve a top speed of 135 kmph and can provide a mileage of approximately 18 to 22 kilometers per liter of petrol.
New Jawa 350 Classic: Braking and Suspension
For comfortable riding, the bike is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a smoother experience on both roads and off-road terrains. This setup enhances the bike’s performance on various surfaces, providing better stability and control.
In terms of braking, to prevent skidding on roads, the Jawa 350 Classic features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), coupled with disc brakes on both wheels, ensuring effective braking performance in diverse riding conditions.
New Jawa 350 Classic: Competition
The new Jawa 350 will enter into competition with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which is the highest-selling bike in the classic segment. It will be priced starting from 2.51 lakhs rupees. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 features a semi-digital instrument console, including an analog speedometer and odometer, along with a digital display. This bike is also equipped with a navigation system, making it a compelling choice in the segment.
