PM Modi to be Welcomed in UAE for ‘Ahlan Modi’ Program
The unprecedented celebration of historic friendship between India and the UAE is underway today in Abu Dhabi. In a country where the display of photos of Hindu deities was once prohibited, the construction of a grand temple is now in progress. Every Indian present is experiencing a sense of pride. Even those living in the UAE have not been left untouched by the fervor. Indian residents in the UAE have organized a grand welcome ceremony for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been affectionately referred to as “Ahlan Modi,” signifying a warm welcome to Modi Ji.
The display of the diversity of Indian culture will be showcased during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE. Every Indian in the UAE is feeling emotional and joyful. It is notable that during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, the President of the UAE visited Gujarat. Following that, arrangements were made for a roadshow from Ahmedabad Airport. This demonstrates the strong relationship between India and the UAE. Now, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha are set to consecrate the Pran Pratishtha at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14th, showcasing the diversity of Indian culture, preparations are underway. Earlier, on February 13th, a grand event was organized at the Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi for welcoming the Prime Minister. This event will showcase the diversity of Indian culture. Subsequently, a parade showcasing various cultures and lifestyles of people living in India will be organized at the Zayed Stadium. It is noteworthy that Gujarat has received the highest benefit from organizing this event.
Archana Desai, a Gujarati resident of the UAE for the past 18 years, informed Divya Bhaskar that around 700 people in the UAE have been tirelessly preparing for cultural events and colorful programs without a break for the last 30 days in order to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is expected to visit for an event. Currently, there are over 3 million Gujaratis residing in the UAE. All state governments are eagerly awaiting Prime Minister Modi’s arrival. In his welcome, a variety of unique and colorful creations from every Indian state will be showcased at the Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Particularly, the talent of women is being highlighted in this diverse cultural event. Each state’s team in the colorful program is making a significant contribution by women. This historic festival has seen registrations of over 65,000 people from India and abroad eager to participate.
There will be performances on folk songs. It is noteworthy that on January 26th this year, during the Republic Day parade held on Rajpath in Delhi, a special performance showcasing women’s empowerment took place. Women’s courage was also encouraged. This initiative has been continued in the UAE by organizing special events by women and showcasing the courage of Indian women at the Zayed Stadium. Furthermore, in the Indo-UAE cultural parade planned at the Zayed Stadium, the courage of Indian women will also be showcased. Following this, a parade highlighting Gujarat’s culture will also be organized. Gujaratis residing in Abu Dhabi will also present dance performances on famous Gujarati songs. Especially, there will be performances by both men and women on Aditya Gadhvi’s famous folk songs.
The “Ahlan Modi” event not only signifies the historic friendship between India and the UAE but also represents a grand cultural exchange. Scheduled to take place on February 13th at the Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, this magnificent event will feature the participation of 150 cultural teams from the UAE, 700 team members, and over 1500 volunteers. Every Indian and our tricolor will be honored on foreign soil, making this event a remarkable celebration of unity and diversity.
