ED Raids Aam Aadmi Party Leaders’ Homes: Arvind Kejriwal’s PS Vaibhav, MP ND Gupta Under Scrutiny

Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the residences of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar and some associates affiliated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday in connection with a money laundering investigation. Sources revealed that raids have been conducted at approximately 10 locations in the national capital region. Officials from the central agency have been conducting searches at the residences of Bibhav Kumar, a former member of the Delhi Jal Board, Shalabh Kumar, and several others.

According to available information, enforcement directorate’s raids are also underway at the residence of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Narayan Das Gupta. It was reported that AAP was scheduled to hold a press conference today. This press conference comes after the ED raided the residences of senior leaders of the party earlier.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have been accused by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of offering bribes of 25-25 crore rupees to assembly members. Atishi of the AAP stated that the BJP was trying to break the AAP government in Delhi. In this case, the Crime Branch has been asked to gather evidence by questioning leaders from both parties. According to Kejriwal, the BJP threatened that they would give 25 crore rupees and fight elections on their tickets. Discussions are ongoing with 21 assembly members, while others are also being approached. The AAP government in Delhi is likely to be disrupted.

Delhi officials are scared – Atishi

During this time, Atishi, a cabinet minister in the Delhi government, pointed fingers at the Crime Branch. She said, “We have not received any notice from CM Kejriwal or the Delhi Police. There is no mention of FIR or IPC or CRPC sections. The Delhi Crime Branch has turned its political ambitions into a game. Delhi officials are scared. We sympathize with them.”

BJP Dismisses Allegations

The BJP dismissed these allegations and met with Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on January 30. The party had previously filed a complaint against the Police Commissioner. The party has demanded an investigation into the AAP’s allegations. Following this, the Delhi Police Crime Branch is seeking evidence against Kejriwal and Atishi for the allegations levied against the BJP.
