Jharkhand’s 12th CM Champai Soren: Congress and RJD MLAs Take Oath as Ministers, Hemant Soren on 5-Day Remand, 39 MLAs Head to Hyderabad
Champai Soren has taken the oath of the Chief Minister’s office in Jharkhand. The national anthem was played at the Raj Bhavan before the swearing-in ceremony. Following that, Champai Soren took the oath as the Chief Minister. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of secrecy and the Chief Minister’s office to Champai Soren. Subsequently, the Governor congratulated the new Chief Minister. Champai Soren won the Saraykela seat for the first time in 1991.
Change of Guard in Jharkhand:
Along with Champai, Congress’ Alamgir Alam and AJSU’s Satyanand Bhokta also took the oath as ministers. It is being said that the Champai government can have two Deputy CMs. The government will have to prove its majority within 10 days.
Champai Soren Takes Oath as Jharkhand CM:
Champai Soren has taken the oath of the Chief Minister’s office in Jharkhand. In 23 years in Jharkhand, the Chief Minister has changed 11 times. Among them, Arjun Munda and Shibu Soren became Chief Ministers three times each. Raghuvardas was the only CM who completed his full five-year term.
Supreme Court setback for former CM Hemant Soren:
Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren has suffered a major setback from the Supreme Court. The court has refused to hear Soren’s plea on the arrest warrant. The Supreme Court said – you should have gone to the High Court first. The investigating agency had arrested Soren on the night of January 31.
Hemant Soren Resigns:
Approximately 26 hours after the resignation of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, around 11 pm on Thursday, Governor CP Radhakrishnan invited Champai Soren and Alamgir Alam to the Raj Bhavan and invited them to form the government. Champai was also nominated as the CM. At 11:15, both leaders left the Raj Bhavan.

The representative group of the Mahagathbandhan MLAs left from the Raj Bhavan on Thursday evening and all MLAs reached the circuit house. From here, we reached the Ranchi airport to go to Hyderabad, but due to dense fog, the plane could not take off.
